Ivan Kraemer, age 103, of St. Cloud, MN, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2025.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Lutheran Church of the Cross in Nisswa, MN. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church. Ivan will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery in Nisswa with Military Honors.
Ivan was born on April 13, 1922, in Mandan, North Dakota, to Edmund and Ethel Kraemer. In 1942, he proudly enlisted in the United States Army, where he served until 1946 as an engine and airplane mechanic. After his military service, Ivan worked in retail sales and management where he made lasting connections in the community through his hard work and dedication. He and Alice built three homes, and he was a dedicated wood carver. He was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Ivan is survived by his children: Barbara (John) Jordan of St. Cloud, MN; Robert (Kanji) Kraemer of Henderson, NV; and Richard (Jan) Kraemer of Gurnee, IL. He is also survived by his grandchildren Christine, Ryan, Julie, Kyle, and Colin, as well as several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Ivan was preceded in death by his wife, Alice, his brother, Arnum ‘Bud’ Kraemer; his sister-in-law Evie, his niece Debra Kraemer, and his parents.
Arrangements are entrusted to Halvorson Taylor Funeral Home, Brainerd.
