Jack Kins Obituary

Jack Lee Kins, 79 of Wellsburg, WV, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, June 29, 2025 at his residence under the care of his wife and children with the assistance of Valley Hospice.
Jack was born on February 10, 1946 in Steubenville, OH. He was the son of the late Edwin A Kins and Hazel (Horn) Kins.
Jack was a dedicated entrepreneur. After a long and impactful career, he retired as a school bus driver for the Brooke County School System. Jack was a proud and committed member of the Wellsburg Volunteer Fire Department, serving for over 45 years. His devotion to community service also extended into local government, where he faithfully represented the citizens of the 1st Ward as a Councilman since 2017.
Jack inspired generations as a beloved football coach, spending 18 years with the Wellsburg Colts Football Association. He was also a member of the Wellsburg Moose Lodge and a social member of the Wellsburg American Legion Post 34.
Jack's legacy will live on through the lives he touched-his impact on the Wellsburg community will be felt for generations to come.
In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by seven siblings, Edwin W. Kins, Webster Kins, Bob "Weeno" Kins, Frank E. Kins, Charlotte Groch, Mona Lou Kins, and William "Bill" Kins.
Jack is survived by his wife of 32 years, Geraldine "Geri" (Doran) Kins, five children, Danielle Anderson of Wellsburg, WV, Sean Lee Kins and his wife, Aileen of Los Angles, CA, Chance Lee Kins and his companion, Krista Brettell of Wellsburg, WV, Aundrea Marra and her husband, Anthony of Mooresville, NC, and Frankie Lee Kins of Wheeling, WV, eight grandchildren, Zachary Anderson, Samantha Zeryll Kins, Kassius Jackson Kins, Gunnar Brettell, Chase Hile, Arabella Marra, Antonio Marra, and Adrian Marra, three great grandchildren, Lily Anderson, Ryder Anderson, and Jackson Rayne, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The Chambers Funeral Home of Wellsburg, WV (304) 737-3551 is honored and privileged to serve the Kins family with simple cremation arrangements. The family will host a celebration of life at a later date.
