Crews – Jackie Lynn Crews, age 73, of Hilliard, Florida passed away peacefully on December 26, 2024, at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born on December 18, 1951, in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas to the late Leon Beasley and Leona Burchell Beasley. Jackie was an integral part of the Ledford Baptist Church, where she was a devoted member and shared her musical talents as a pianist. A dedicated educator, Jackie graduated from Harrisburg High School in 1969 and went on to earn her degree in teaching from Southern Illinois University. She moved to Hilliard in 1985 and spent 32 fulfilling years as a math teacher for the Nassau County School Board, inspiring countless students with her passion for learning. Jackie found joy in crocheting and had a delightful collection of flamingos, which reflected her vibrant personality. She was a committed volunteer for the Relay for Life Cancer Walk and notably served as a Silver Contributor, showcasing her dedication to her community. Above all, Jackie loved her family deeply. She cherished her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, making every moment spent with them special. Jackie will be remembered for her kindness, unwavering spirit, and the lasting impact she had on the lives of those around her. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norman "Lynn" Crews; step-son, Jason Crews.
Jackie leaves behind her children, Shari (Jeff) Braddock of Callahan, FL, Travis Smith of Atlanta, GA, Daryl Smith of Hilliard, FL, David (Cindi ) Crews of Hilliard, FL; daughter in law, Angie Smith of Atlanta, GA; brother, Ronald (Chris) Beasley of Harrisburg, IL; sister, Hope Lawrence AKA Linda Carol of Yulee, FL; grandchildren, Kara, Kelli, Kolby, D.J., Carleigh; great grandchildren, Everly, Silas; nephew, Bradley Beasley, niece, Tori Beasley; great niece, Kiya; several beloved cousins and extended family members.
A Celebration of Jackie's Life will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Ephesus Baptist Church with Pastor Marvin Lee officiating.
