Jacqueline O. Mancia, age 62, entered peacefully into eternal rest at her residence on Saturday, July 5, 2025. She was a native of Honduras and a resident of New Orleans, LA. She was a retired Housekeeping Coordinator with the Royal Sonesta Hotel. Beloved wife of Oscar A. Mancia. Devoted mother of Jacqueline “Luisa” Mancia, and Oscar A. (Lauren) Mancia, Jr. Loving grandmother of Luka and Liam Mancia. Daughter of Alicia Pagoaga Ochoa and the late Salvador Ochoa. Sister of Manuel Ochoa, Jose Ochoa, and Ana (Gary) Jones. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and her mother-in law Maria Luisa Mancia. Jacqueline is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also priest and parishioners of St. Mary’s Assumption Church; employees of Royal Sonesta Hotel; faculty, staff and students of NOLA Public Schools and Southern University Law Center; doctors and staff of Ochsner Medical Center and LCMC BMT and Oncology Departments, OMC MICU Department are invited to attend a Memorial Celebration at St. Mary’s Assumption Church, 923 Josephine Street, New Orleans, LA on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the church.
