James "Boomer" Boomgaarden, age 76, passed away on August 2, 2025, in Chaska, Minnesota. Born on August 8, 1948, in Pipestone, Minnesota, Jim lived a full and vibrant life marked by generosity, laughter, and deep devotion to his family. A loving husband, brother, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Jim is survived by his beloved wife Linda; children Allen Boomgaarden, Kim Gronbach, Connie Cooper, David Boomgaarden and Ken Hill (Amy); 13 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren, his dog Boomer, and extended family and friends. His family was the heart of his world, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Jim had a passion for life that was evident in everything he did. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle on the open roads and found peace casting a line while fishing. He loved playing games with family and friends - always ready with a smile or a laugh that could light up any room. In recent years, Jim found joy in showing off his classic car at car shows alongside his wife and faithful dog Boomer. Known for his willingness to lend a hand to anyone in need, Jim had an extraordinary ability to make friends wherever he went. His infectious smile and laugh left lasting impressions on all who met him. Whether sharing stories at a car show or helping someone with a project, Jim's warmth and kindness were constants in the lives of those around him. A memorial service celebrating Jim's life will be held at 11:00 am on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at Washburn-McReavy Funeral Chapel, 7625 Mitchel Rd, Eden Prairie, MN. 55344. Jim's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May his legacy of love and laughter continue to bring comfort and inspiration.
