James (Jim) Ronnie Collins, 62, passed away from natural causes at his home on July 12, 2025, in Lawton, Michigan.
Jim was born in Washington Courthouse, Ohio, on November 12, 1962. Jim was a truck driver for 30 years, worked at Welch's in Lawton, Michigan, for five years and later at St. Julian's Winery in Paw Paw, Michigan.
He loved to banter about politics with his friends on Facebook. He enjoyed sitting in his front yard doing some bird watching, especially enjoying the Hummingbirds and Mourning Doves. One of his other favorite past-times was to go to the Celery Flats Park in Portage, Michigan, where he would take his dogs for walks and end up at Dairy Queen for a pup cup. He enjoyed cruising around in his Camaro in the summer time and going antiquing with his sister. He loved to make people laugh.
James was proceeded in death by his father, Wasson Collins, brother, Jed Collins, and sister Cassanna Collins. He is survived by his mother, Sarah Collins; siblings Julie Collins, Lillie (Howard) Russell, Jonathon Collins, Sally Collins, and Wassyona (Rick) Kahl, along with his daughters Nicole Collins and Heather Smith and also his grandchildren Brittany Wagner, Kalib Wagner, Kaden Wagner, and Eva Pineda.
Cremation is being handled by Ofield Funeral Home and a celebration of life will be held at a later time.

My condolences to the family, I've know Jimmy for quite awhile. I met him when I was 10 or 11 years old at the truckstop while riding with my dad. He had his car with the big stereo in it, he was like a big goofy older brother in my life. Know he was a great man and Jimmy thanks for the memories, give my dad a hug for me I know he met you and gave you the keys to your truck at the gates brother.
