James (Jimmy / Jim) Charles Davis of San Antonio, TX entered eternal rest the morning of July 4, 2025 at Sonterra Health Center at the age of 81.
He was born on June 14, 1944 in Blasdell, NY to Raymond Albert and Eleanor Anna (Stull) Davis.
An avid woodworker, he made many pieces of furniture, awards and décor. If it could be made from wood, he would make it. He joined the Army in 1962 and was a true patriot and proud veteran. He was a man of many trades and held many types of jobs. His favorite occupation was manager of skating rinks in San Antonio: Sports Palace, World of Sports and Country Lanes. His high school years were spent at roller skating competitions for Skate Haven rink in Lackawanna, NY. During the holidays, he enjoyed becoming Santa Claus at any event you invited him to. He was even Santa at local malls and department stores.
He survived by his children Laura Jean (Rick) Cortez, Ann Marie (Joseph) Ramirez, Catherine Lee (Keith) Dusenberry, Michael Andrew (Diana) and their mother, Selia; his children Christina Louise (Tim) Davis, Allison Rae Davis, Adam Charles (Brianna) and their mother, Margaret, all of San Antonio, TX; 14 grandchildren; sister, Doris Rae (late Eugene) Durusky of Hamburg, NY.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Eleanor (Stull) Davis, brother Edward Harrison (Lucy) Davis, sisters Grace Thelma Davis and Jane Eleanor (Ken) Blake.
