James Dunning Drew, born August 18, 1959, passed away peacefully at his home on June 13, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. Originally from Vernon, NJ, he was the son of the late Lester Drew and Clare (Fries) Drew.
James, affectionately known as Jimmy, is survived by his devoted significant other, Linda Bootsma, his younger sister, Maureen Ferguson, his brother, Adrian Drew, and his wife Claudia Drew, as well as his five cherished nieces and nephews.
Mr. Drew proudly attended Villanova University, where he embraced the vibrant campus community. In his younger years, he was an enthusiastic athlete, enjoying running, golf, and tennis. His passion for exploration led him to travel the world, immersing himself in diverse cultures and experiences. Professionally, he built a successful career in insurance before pursuing entrepreneurial ventures later in life.
In his later years, Jimmy found joy in cultivating a stunning yard landscape, creating a serene oasis. A devout Catholic, his faith guided him throughout his life. Known for his witty sense of humor, Jimmy had a remarkable ability to bring laughter and warmth to friends and family. His vibrant spirit and kind heart left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Jimmy will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and community. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jimmy's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society to support their mission of fighting cancer and aiding those affected by it. www.cancer.org
