James Ferguson Obituary

He was born Aug. 21, 1938, in Cleveland.
James was an alumnus of Collinwood High, an Army veteran, and retired from the R.T.A. He enjoyed tennis and cheering for Mentor High School Football, OSU football and the Cleveland Browns. He was focused on staying well-informed about global and current events by reading the newspaper. James and his wife spent winters in Naples, Florida.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Helga Ferguson; children, James Ferguson (Jeanne Miller) and Michele Ferguson; 3 grandchildren, Gabrielle and Jacob Dutton (Brooke Gilchrist) and Anthony Swartz (Dottie Swartz).
James is preceded in death by his parents, James H. and Dorothy M. Ferguson.
Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 7 at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Rt. 615, N. of Rt. 2), Mentor., with a Prayer Service at 6:15 p.m.
