James (Jim) Harvey Green, 68, of Akron, formerly of Medina, passed away suddenly, Friday, July 11, 2025 at home.
He was born January 2, 1957 in Willard, Ohio. He graduated from Cloverleaf High School and Medina County Career Center in 1975. Known as Jamie to his cousins, he loved to play cards and games with family and friends. He was a passionate Cleveland Indians and Cavaliers fan, an avid reader, and a past member of Harrisville #137 Lodi Masonic Lodge with his brother Tom. He was a former ham radio operator like his dad, and other than spending time with his wife, Diana, what he loved most was watching his kids and grandkids participate in their respective sports and activities. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Mildred (Massie) Green; his brother, David Thomas Timic; and his cherished daughter, Shelly. He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years Diana (Daves); his son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Laura (Sullivan) Green of Livermore, CA; three grandchildren Garrett, Aidan, and Addison; sister and brother-in-law, Pamela and Dennis Mohn of Chippewa Lake; sister-in-law Joyce Timic of Lodi; and numerous other brothers- and sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, and nephews that were dear to him.
Services will be Thursday, July 17th 11a.m. at the Creston Community Church, 111 Sterling St., Creston, OH with Pastor Josh Chaffin officiating. Burial will be in Mound Hill Cemetery in Seville. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday July 16th at Murray Funeral Home, 173 S. Main St., Creston, OH Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 8001 Sweet Valley Dr., Suite 3, Valley View, OH 44125, or The Wounded Warriors Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675-8517.
