James Hall Obituary

James Richard Hall, Sr., 77, of Tishomingo, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2025, at his home. Born on August 26, 1947, in Fayetteville, Arkansas, James was known as a man of quiet strength, practical skill, and deep devotion to his family. He is survived by his wife, Remy Hall; his children, James Hall Jr. (Gina) and Kimberly Shields; his grandchildren, James III, Sarah, and Kristen; and his brother, Don Hall (Judy). He was preceded in death by his parents, Clara and Olan Hall; his brothers, Jerry Hall and Glendon Hall; and his sister, Carolyn. Over the course of his life, James lived and worked in various places before settling in Tishomingo. He built a life marked by hard work and curiosity. Much of his career was spent working at oil refineries, specializing in the repair and overhaul of large industrial equipment such as turbines. Later in life, he and his wife Remy took to the road together, transporting RVs across the country-combining work with their shared love of travel and adventure. A natural tinkerer, James had a passion for fixing anything mechanical. He enjoyed singing and playing the guitar, building radios and electronics from scratch, and mining cryptocurrency long before it became mainstream. He was an avid listener of audiobooks and a fan of classic Westerns like Gunsmoke. He also had a deep appreciation for technology and entertainment, often relaxing with a good 3D movie. James leaves behind a legacy of patience, ingenuity, and devotion. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
