We have lived a few houses down from Mr and Mrs Hickem for 24 years and wanted to extend our condolences. Mr. Hickem gave us some great marriage advice when we first moved in and we've been married for 25 years now so the man knew what he was talking about lol. Mrs Hickem advised me to create a home your children's friends come to for help and we have. They will both be sorely missed but the world is a better place because they were in it.

I had the privilege of working with Jim while he was the Chef at Columbia College. Always a smile, as he approached the job of providing meals for the students. His strong work ethic, his never ending energy and his uncompromising approach toward quality,90 are characteristics of the Jim I will always remember. Through the years our work relationship evolved into a true friendship. Rest in peace Jim.
