He was preceded in death by his parents James Edwin "Ed" and Roella Holt.
He is survived by his daughter Brandi Holt, of Bybee; brother Dr. Reginald Wynn Holt of West Hartford, Connecticut; also other family and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of Flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Liberty Hill Cemetery Fund in care of Gary Holt, 2405 Hwy 160, Newport, TN 37821.
