James Douglas Hudson, age 76, passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2025. He was born on December 29, 1948, in Hohenwald, Tennessee, to the late James Alvin Hudson and Joyce Lee Hudson.
James was known for his unwavering work ethic and deep devotion to his family. He spent his life putting others first and leading by quiet example. Those who knew him remember a man who was always working, whether at his job or simply providing for and supporting his loved ones.
In service to his country, James was drafted into the United States Army during the Vietnam War, where he served honorably as a Signal Corps Technician. His role in maintaining communication systems was vital, and he took great pride in his duty.
When he wasn't working or serving his country, James enjoyed unwinding by watching football, especially cheering for his favorite team, the Miami Dolphins.
Mr. Hudson is survived by his son James Eugene Douglas of Romulus, MI; daughter Rhonda Cameron of Michigan; brother Warren (Michelle) Hudson of Centerville, TN; sister Therese (Joe) Villareal of Hohenwald; five grandchildren, James, Nicholas, Tyler, Ayla Hudson, and Michael Kerr; and two great-grandchildren, Willow and Abigail. In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Lee Hudson.
Visitation with the family will be held on Monday, May 26, from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM, and burial will immediately follow in the Lewis County Memorial Gardens at 11:00 AM.
