James Andrew "JJ" Jennings was born April 26, 1971 in Lapeer, Michigan, and passed away on July 31, 2025 in Otisville, Michigan at the age of 54 years old.

JJ was a man whose life revolved around motion – whether it was the roar of an engine, the thrill of a street race, or the hum of a four wheeler or snowmobile tearing through the open trails. A true gear head, he dedicated himself to working on engines with passion and precision. His love for mechanics wasn't a job – it was a way of life that defined him and connected him to others who shared his enthusiasm. He found joy not only in horsepower, and speed but also in the quiet moments spent with those closest to him. JJ cherished time with his grandchildren Aiden and Sam, whose presence brought light and laughter into his life, whether riding four-wheelers together or simply sharing stories, these moments were among his most treasured.

JJ is survived by the love of his life Paulette Teno, Lauren (Tyson) Kappen, and Joseph Teno, his beloved grandchildren Aiden and Sam, his aunt Geraldine Carson, uncle Gerald Faust, father Gerald Jennings, brother Chris Jennings, and many cousins who will remember him fondly. His mother Darlene Jennings, as well as his grandparents, aunts and uncles preceded him in death.

Those who knew JJ will remember a man who lived life full throttle – devoted to the his craft, loyal to those he loved and always ready for the next ride. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him. He will be forever in our hearts!

Cremation has taken place, and a private memorial has been held. Arrangements entrusted to Jansen Family Funeral Home – Columbiaville. Memorial contributions in memory of JJ may be made to Pets Friends in Cass City, Michigan. Share condolences, pictures, and stories with the family online at www.jansenfuneralhome.com.
