JAMES A. “JAMIE” PARKER. 54, beloved husband of Kristie Grant Parker, passed away suddenly, Friday June 20, 2025, two days prior to his 55th birthday.
A native and life-long resident of Aiken County, Jamie was a son of the late Chester and Allene Durden Parker. He graduated from Midland Valley High School in 1988 and was a “Mustang at Heart”. He began working for R. B. Wright Construction in Augusta, GA right after high school until 2014. For the last decade Jamie worked for Southeastern Ironworkers Union, first at Plant Vogel, and then in 2022 at SRS where he was a superintendent. He was a die-hard Clemson fan.
Jamie is survived by his wife of 28 years, Kristie whom he began dating 37 years ago. Also surviving are his daughter, Cayla Parker; son, Joshua Parker; three sisters, Lynn Syms (Mike), Barbara Randall and Katie Parker, many nieces and nephews. Jamie is also survived by his loving Bishon Frisés, Bella Beu and Opie Winston.
A Celebration of Jamie’s Life will be held Saturday afternoon, June 28th at 1 o’clock at Burnettown First Baptist Church. The family requests favorite sports or casual attire for the service.
