James Millard Stumbo passed away on Monday, June 23, 2025 at his home. He was born on to the late Alonzo Stumbo and Gertrude Marcum Bennett. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two siblings, Jessie Loftis and Floyd Stumbo.
Also known as Jim or Uncle Jimmy, he leaves behind two sisters, Leona Mae (Carl) Scott of Lehigh Acres, FL and Debbie (Halcey) Ferguson of North Carolina, along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends whom he loved very much.
Jim preferred the simple life and after working for many years as a very talented carpenter. He retired to his home place of Stonecoal, WV where he lived his last days.
Upon his request, he will be cremated and then placed beside his mother and sister. Arrangements are under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez, KY.
