James D. Trent, age 62 of Hindman, Kentucky passed away on Saturday July 19, 2025, at his residence in Hindman, KY. He was born on August 14, 1962, in Perry County, Kentucky to the late James Trent and Athlene Cornett Pratt. He was the husband to Patricia Spencer Trent.

James is survived by his Wife: Patricia Trent; Sons: James (Tiffany) Trent, Mark (Darlene) Trent; Daughter: Tracy (Preston) Amburgey; Brothers: Roger (The late Sue) Trent, Marcus (Danielle) Trent; Sisters: Lois (The late John) Shepherd, Teresa (The late Dale) Sprague, Renay (Stevie) Baker; Grandchildren: Brantley Trent, Hunter Amburgey, Kashton Dobson, Sadie Dobson, Klinton Dobson; A Host of Beloved Nieces, Nephews, Family & Special Friends

James is preceded in passing by his Mother: Athlene Cornett Pratt; Father: James Trent; Mother-in-law: Flora Ann Spencer; Father-in-law: Taylor Spencer.

The family will receive friends Tuesday July 22, 2025, from 6PM-10PM at the Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home Chapel in Hindman, KY with service at 7PM.

Funeral Services will be on Wednesday July 23, 2025, at 1PM at the funeral home chapel with Jordan Honeycutt and Justin Ritchie officiating. James will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
