It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jane Elizabeth Travis, 63, of Delmar, Delaware, on Thursday, June 26, 2025. Born on May 2, 1962, Jane was known for her generous spirit and warm heart, Jane lived a long and beautiful life rooted in faith, love, and service to others.
Jane is survived by her five children, Joni Travis, Joshua Travis, John Travis and wife Ashley, Julia Franklin and husband Isaac, and Jackson King; nine grandchildren, Lauren, Savannah, Mariela, Ethan, Toby, Hayley, Joshua, Claire, and Kingston; one great-grandchild, Rhett; four siblings, Joyce Henry and husband Henry, Joi Taylor, Talley Young and wife Emmy, and April Benthall Turner; five stepsiblings, Richard Mears, Jr. and wife Linda, Mark Mears and wife Cindy, Thomas Mears and wife Dorothy, Margery Mears Hinman and husband Warren, and Michael Benthall Mears and wife Sara.
She was preceded in death by her biological mother, Bonnie Young; her beloved, father Henen C. Benthall; and loving stepmother. Evelyn Benthall.
Services will be conducted from the graveside at Liberty Cemetery, in Parksley, VA, on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at1:00 p.m., with The Reverend Robert Coniglio officiating.
