Janet Morris Obituary

Janet L. Bush Morris, age 86, of Mansfield, OH, passed away peacefully at her residence on Saturday, July 5, 2025. Born on April 22, 1939, in Hopewell, KY, she was the beloved daughter of the late Alvin and Doris Stephens Bush. Janet was preceded in death by her son, Randy Morris; her grandson, Dakota Morris; and her siblings: four sisters, Jean Burnett, Phyllis Burnett, Barbara Tussey, and Mary Dean Maggard; and one brother, Harlan Bush. A devoted mother and grandmother, Janet, found her greatest joy in her family. She is survived by her three sons, Mark (Lynda) Morris of Ohio, Stephen Morris of Maryland, and Darrell (Laurel) Morris of Arizona; seven grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. Janet's legacy of love will live on through them, as well as through a host of extended family and friends who mourn her passing. Janet dedicated many years of her life to working in housekeeping at Mansfield General Hospital and as a receptionist with the Kentucky Red Cross, where her warm smile and kind spirit touched the lives of many. Her dedication to her work was matched only by her passion for life outside of her professional endeavors. She found joy in birdwatching, marveling at the beauty of nature, and relished the thrill of shopping trips to Kohl's, always on the lookout for a good bargain at yard sales and thrift stores. Funeral services to honor Janet's life will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, July 11, 2025, at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson, KY, with Bro. Phillip Stephens officiating. Burial will follow at the Floyd Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during visitation from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Thursday, July 10, 2025, and from 10:00 AM until the service hour on Friday at the funeral home.
