Janice L. Anderson, 90, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at home surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Visitation will be held for one hour, beginning at 10:00, at the chapel. Burial will follow at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Janice was born on August 08, 1934, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of William and Evelyn (Wilson) Trachta. She married John Anderson on March 25, 1953, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Janice enjoyed riding horses, jigsaw puzzles, writing cards to loved ones, crocheting, and her cats. She loved her family more than anything else. She was a wonderful and thoughtful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
She is survived by a son, David Anderson of Cedar Rapids, IA; two grandchildren, Danielle (Christian) Lybbert and John (Josephine) Turner; three great-grandchildren, Matthew, Jace, and Izabella; sister, Terry Lynn McLaren of Marion, IA; and loving nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Janice was preceded by her parents, a spouse John, daughter Debra Turner, and a brother William Trachta Jr.
