In Loving Memory of Janice A. Ballas
Janice A. Ballas, a devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and treasured friend, passed away peacefully on July 10th at the age of 92.
She is survived by her two daughters, Johanna Wheeler and Victoria Armas (husband, Ricardo); her brother, Will Green; five grandchildren and their spouses-Ricky and Kate, Rob and Kim, Seb and Shalena, and Ben and Alexa; seven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, each of whom she cared about deeply. She was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Diana Ballas, who she held forever in her heart.
Her love for her family was unwavering, and she found the greatest happiness in the time they spent together, whether around the dinner table, sharing stories, or laughing through a game of cards.
Over the years, she held a variety of positions, always working hard and helping others, but her role as a Foster Grandparent truly captured her compassionate and caring spirit. Through this work, she touched the lives of countless children with her warmth, patience, and unwavering kindness.
She had a deep love for watching horse racing, especially at Saratoga, and never missed a chance to cheer on her favorite picks. She also loved football and proudly rooted for her team, the Buffalo Bills-rarely missing a game and always ready to cheer them on. Her lively card-playing antics, quick wit, and infectious laughter will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She was an inspiration to many-a woman who led with love, gave with grace, and never lost her spark. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and friends, and in all the lives she gently and joyfully touched.
A private service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Bayada Hospice, 190 South Main Street, Suite 2, Rutland, VT 05701, whose compassionate care meant so much to her family.
