Janice Karen Barton, age 81 of Chesterfield, Michigan, passed away in her home on July 7, 2025. She was born on October 12, 1943 in Warren, MI to the late Floyd A. and Mildred E. (Dust) Beard. For nearly 34 years, she was married to her beloved John Martin Paul Barton Jr., who preceded her in death on July 13, 2004.
Mrs. Barton will be dearly remembered for her great compassion, generosity, and love, especially to her family. She loved all things nature, particularly racoons and cardinals, and she enjoyed watching the great outdoors around her on her porch. She could often be found playing various bingo, card, dice, and casino games throughout her life.
She is survived by her beloved family, including children Jennifer Barton, Jay (Lisa) Barton, and Jeffery (Tiffany) Barton. She was the proud grandmother of Alex, Alexis (Coleton), Sarina, Daemon, Lucas, Brittany, and Kayla. Dearest great-grandmother of Nevaeh, Kaylee, Chloe, Charlotte, Aurora, Easton, and Emilia. She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her two sisters.
Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the Harold W. Vick Funeral Home, Mt. Clemens. In honor of Janice, memorial donations may be sent to McLaren Hospice of Port Huron. Share memories with the family at www.vickfuneralhome.com
