Janice Rae Sala, age 72, passed away on July 2, 2025, at her home in Grove, Oklahoma. She was born on October 25, 1952, in Neosho, Missouri to Bob and Connie (Duffield) Baker. They preceded her in death.
Janice was a kindhearted lady with a great sense of humor, and an unwavering work ethic. She was a dedicated Walmart associate for 40 years, where she managed the electronics department, demonstrating her tenacity and dedication.
Janice was a beloved member of her community, regularly contributing to the local food bank. Her presence will be profoundly missed by those who knew her.
She leaves behind her loving husband, James Sala. She is also survived by her children, Robin Sala (Binger) of Grove, Monica Sala of Joplin, and Travis Sala (Jen) of Grand Junction, Colorado; siblings Randy Baker (Katy) and Christy Holenda (Jeff) all of Cassville, Missouri; and her cherished grandchildren, Brooklyn, Morgan, Jackson, Madison, Calvin, and Wesley.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at Nichols-Stephens Funeral Home in Grove, Oklahoma. A graveside service is scheduled for 10 AM on Monday, July 7, at Hickory Grove Cemetery, Grove, OK. Nichols-Stephens Funeral & Cremation Services is assisting the family during this difficult time. Janice's life and legacy will be remembered fondly by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
