Janice Carol Scott, age 81 of Quaker City, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025 at her home. She was born on October 4, 1943 in Cambridge, a daughter of the late Leroy C. Beal and Ava Luella (Casterline) Beal.
Mrs. Scott was a 1961 graduate of Madison High School. She was a very active member of the Old Washington Presbyterian Church, having served in the Sunday School classes and as a deacon. Janice was a 4H advisor for the Bridgewater Bunch for over 30 years. She was the church liaison for the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts and also a member of the Ohio Eastern Star. Janice was an avid supporter of her grandchildren and all their activities.
Janice was married on November 1, 1969 to Terry S. Scott, he passed away on April 14, 2021. Also deceased with her parents, is her brother Loren L. Beal.
Surviving are: her children, William Lee (& Carla) Scott of Salesville, Ohio, Kimberly (& Joey) Shreve of Liberty Township and Steven Scott of Quaker City, Ohio; grandchildren, Tyler Allen (& Mackenzie) Eschbaugh, Roger Tyler (& Morgan) Scott, Cody Shreve (& Beverly Martin), Logan Shreve (& Kristina Day), Austin Scott (& Chelsea Glasgow) and Anthony Scott (& Maddy Huebner); great grandchildren, Niko, Jude and Asher Scott and baby Eschbaugh on the way.
Visitation will be at Bundy-Law Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 from 4 pm to 7 pm. Her funeral service will be on Wednesday at 11 am with Pastor Wes Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Friends Cemetery in Quaker City. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Hospice of Guernsey and her home health aids, Ellen Adair, Nancy Lucas, Leigh Ann Lucas, Hailey Bates, Lavuerre Allen and Sarah Pierce. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Old Washington Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 267 Old Washington Ohio 43768.
