She also leaves behind four nieces and their spouses: Starling and Dr. Robby Thornsberry, Vicki and Keith Dees, Holly and Dr. Jim Scott, Anna and Cole Christie, and her nephew John Stripling and his wife Heather. In addition to her immediate family, Janice will be fondly remembered by her four great-nieces, Victoria Deneau and her husband Taylor, Krystina Dees, Emmy Grinstead and her husband Grey, and Maggie Thornsberry, as well as her great-nephew, Austin Stripling and his wife Diana, great great nephew, Teddy Deneau, her fur babies, Lucy Kay and Chloe and special friend, Jim Nolan.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Ossie and Lucy Milam Stripling, whose values and dedication to family resonated deeply within her. She was also preceded by her sister, Rita Kay Edenfield and her husband, Jim, her brothers Larry and his wife Amelia Stripling, and Ted and his wife Shirley Stripling, along with her sister-in-law Jackie Stripling.
