Janie N. Garcia, 56, of Kingsville, Texas, was called home to be with the Lord on April 15, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on June 19, 1968, in Kingsville, Janie was the beloved daughter of Miguel and Amparo Nunez. A lifelong resident of Kingsville, she devoted her life to faith, family, and service. Janie was a dedicated homemaker whose love radiated through every warm meal, every comforting word, and every moment shared with those she held dear.
A proud and faithful member of Faith Point Church, Janie found immense joy in worship, especially while singing with the church choir. Her voice was a reflection of her spirit - vibrant, humble, and full of grace. She cherished the opportunity to minister to family and friends, often offering words of encouragement and prayer to those in need.
Janie is preceded in death by her brother, Rudy Nunez, whom she now joins in eternal rest.
She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Arnoldo G. Garcia; her devoted daughter, Keila (Jose) Cruz; and her four treasured grandchildren - Jose Jr., Jaidyn, Jenavee, and Kailenni - who were the light of her life. Janie is also survived by her siblings: Antonia Trevino, Beatrice Nunez, Maria Anita Rawlinson, Domingo Nunez, Miguel Nunez Jr., David Nunez, Gonzalo Nunez, Tomas Nunez, and Jesus Nunez, as well as a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews who will forever remember her warmth and kindness.
A cremation will take place. A celebration of Janie's life will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Point Church, with Pastor Joel Hammond officiating. Burial will follow at Santa Gertrudis Memorial Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are under the caring direction of Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
Janie's legacy of love, faith, and joyful praise will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
