Jannetta Mae Pendleton Fairbanks, 90, of Red Oak, Texas and formerly of Andrews passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Arabella of Red Oaks Senior Living to be with her LORD and SAVOIR.

Jannetta was born on November 29, 1934, in O'Donnell, Texas to Beatrice Pendleton and George H. Pendleton. Janetta was twelve years old when she accepted Christ as her personal savior at Andrews Assembly of God in Andrews, Texas. She was baptized in the Holy Spirit a few months later and was only thirteen when she became the church pianist. Jannetta met Ray Fairbanks at a youth service in 1952. Both had good jobs and had not considered full-time ministry. About nine months after their marriage, Ray felt God's call to serve as a missionary to Haiti. After Haiti, Jannetta worked with women prisoners while attending Southwestern. Later as a pastor's wife, she taught Sunday School and was active in Women's Ministries. Jannetta and Ray would go back to Haiti and then to Nicaragua to educate people in their ministries and mentored young leaders; followed by Belize where they would mentor for twenty-two more years.

Later Jannetta served at Global University for seven years where she had administrative duties and was head professor for several courses. One Missionary described her as hardworking and diligent. She is a gracious woman who blesses everyone who has the privilege to be her friend. Jannetta's ministry will always continue through the hundreds of students she has mentored and taught. Ministry was her vocation and GOD was her Salvation. Her family was her reward.

Survivors include her children, Drexell Fairbanks of Austin, Texas, and Douglas Fairbanks of Allen, Texas, her brother, Dan Pendleton and wife Gloria of Andrews, Texas. Jannetta was preceded in death by her parents, George and Beatrice Pendleton and her husband, Edward Ray Fairbanks who passed away on October 18, 1997.

A visitation will take place from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 24, 2025, at McNett Funeral Home in Andrews. Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 25, 2025, at First Assembly of God in Andrews with Brother Glenn Beaver officiating. Burial will follow at Andrews Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
