Jean M. Cross, age 82, of 490 Tharpe Road, Unadilla, died Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at Pruitt Health in Warner Robins.

Born in Perry, she graduated from Perry High School and was married to the love of her life, Carl E. Cross for 60 years. They were blessed with four children. Her life was devoted to her family. She loved to cook and sew for her family, who knew her as "Nanny" and she even won a blue ribbon for one of her quilts at the Georgia National Fair. Helping others was important to her and she would always make you smile. Mrs. Cross was a member of First Baptist Church of Haynesville and a homemaker.

Jennifer Cross of Perry
Alex Moss of Warner Robins
Holly Moss of Warner Robins

Numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl E. Cross; her daughter, Wanda D. Johnson; her grandson, Jason Cross; her sisters, Marie Bozeman and Mary Bloodworth.

Funeral services will be at 11 am Thursday, September 11 in the chapel of Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home with Brother Tubby Fowler officiating.

The family will greet friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Following the service, the family will meet at Grovania Methodist Church, 470 Grovania Road, Hawkinsville from 12:30 to 2:00 PM to enjoy food and fellowship.

Memorial gifts may be made to First Baptist Church of Haynesville, 2953 Highway 341 South, Hawkinsville, GA 31036.

Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Unadilla has charge of arrangements.
