Mrs. (Delores) Jean Sikes Jenkins, of Marshville, NC, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.
Jean was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerry Jenkins, as well as her parents, Claude & Leona Sikes, and her siblings, Charles and Joyce. She is survived by her devoted son, Chris Jenkins and his wife Rita; three grandchildren, Nathan Jenkins (Anna), Adam Jenkins (Collette), and Nadia Carpenter (Austin); and one great grandchild, Jackson Jenkins.
Born on September 6, 1943, in Mt. Croghan, SC, Jean graduated from Pageland High School and later married her lifelong love, Jerry. Together, they built a beautiful life in Marshville.
Jean was a devoted mother, grandmother, and sister. She was a treasured home cook and loved spending time with her family around the dinner table. One of her favorite places to visit when she wasn't the cook on duty, was the fish camp! She also enjoyed bowling and other sports.
A woman of strong work ethic, Jean spent over 20 years each at Ma Leck Woodcrafts and Ludwig Drum Company, retiring from Ludwig after a long and faithful career.
Mrs. Jenkins will be laid to rest beside her husband at Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery in Marshville. A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., where the family will receive friends and loved ones.
Holland Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the Jenkins family.
