Jeff Alan Gritz, of Jennings, FL, passed away on July 14, 2025, with loved ones at his side. He was born on August 28, 1956, in St. Petersburg, FL, to William "Bill" and Joan Gritz.
In 1963, Jeff's family relocated to Jasper when his father began working for Florida Power. Following in his father's footsteps of hard work, Jeff became an electrician and spent 15 years working as an industrial electrician with MRT out of Wisconsin.
Jeff was known for his laid-back nature, his love of a cold Budweiser, and the companionship of his beloved dogs. He deeply loved his family and enjoyed the simple pleasures of life.
He is survived by his daughters, Carolee, his "boy-Leeroy" Law (Jonathan) of White Springs and Angie Beems, his "little girl," of Michigan; his sisters, Maureen Daniels (Jimmy) of Jasper and Ginny Hunter (Mike) of Live Oak, FL; his grandchildren, Clyde Tucker, Brett Tucker, and Branden Tucker, all of Jennings; Carter Law of White Springs; Michael Beems and Nyla Beems of Michigan; McKenzie Grace of Lake Park, GA; Meyah Bennett of Mims, FL; and Makeya Emmerich of Wisconsin; as well as numerous nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, William "Bill" and Joan Gritz; his wife, Caroline Gritz; his son, Jeffrey Gritz; and his brother, Kelly Gritz (Sheila).
