Born October 9, 1937 in Cabarrus County, he was the son of the late Jeff Shelton, Sr. and Helen Ware and was reared by the late Odessa Shelton.
Educated in the public schools of Buffalo, NY, he attended Hutchinson Central Technical High School. He was self-employed and the owner of two contracting businesses, RODawn Contracting and Shelton Mac.
Mr. Shelton is a Veteran of the United States Navy.
He was Baptized Jehovah Witness and was a member of the E. Delevan Congregation, Buffalo, NY.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marva Lorraine Shelton.
Those left to forever cherish his memories are his children, Dawn Shelton, Ronald Shelton, Jeff Shelton, III and Derrick Shelton all of Buffalo, NY; grandchildren, Dawnlete Shelton-Wells, Ralph Finney, and Kamara Shelton; great-grandchildren, Reign Angel Broome, Treyvon Finney, Dallas Finney; niece, Elizabeth Renell Hickson; nephews, Darrell Hickson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
