Jeffery "Jeff" Allen Kiper, 67, of Marseilles, passed away on February 22, 2025 with his loving wife, Mary, at his side, at OSF St. Elizabeth.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. on Wednesday February 26, 2025 at Gladfelter-Roetker Funeral Home with Reverend Bill Clark officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Pallbearers will be Bryan Kiper, Roger Clements, Gary Nolan, Gary Leiteritz, Jason Aubry, and Kameron VeZain. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kim Kiper, Karen VeZain, and Joe Lamb
Jeff was born February 28, 1957 in Marseilles, the son of Melvin and Joanne (Parrott) Kiper. He attended local schools and after graduating high school went to work as an operating engineer with the Operating Engineers Local 150 in Marseilles until his retirement. He met the love of his life, Mary Nickerson and the two were married on May 12, 2013 in Virginia. Outside of work, Jeff loved tinkering with antique cars, riding his Side by Side and cooking for his friends at the (horse barn). He was reluctant to ride the horses. Jeff will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Jeff is survived by his loving wife, Mary; his mother, Joanne Kiper; his five siblings, Bryan (Janet) Kiper, Kenny (Debbie) Kiper, Kim Kiper, Kevin (Christi) Kiper, and Karen VeZain (Jim); a step-son, Jason (Colette) Aubry; and grandchildren, Patrick and Jackson Aubry. He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin.
