Jennie Gomez Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, Jennie Martinez Gomez "Gina", who left this world on Friday, July 11, 2025 at the age of 50. She was a bright, beautiful soul who touched everyone she met with her kindness, warmth, and unwavering love.
Jennie was a nurturing spirit, always putting others before herself. She had a heart big enough to carry the world and made everyone feel like family. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life, and she poured every ounce of love into raising and caring for them.
She found joy and beauty in the simple things - sunrises, moonlight, flowers, the wind through the trees. Nature was her sanctuary, and she reminded us often to slow down, breathe deeply, and appreciate the world around us. She was a free spirit, wild at heart, and full of grace.
Her laughter, her strength, and her unconditional love will be missed more than words can express. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing her love will live on through all of us.
Jennie is survived by her parents, Santiago Martinez and Josefa Martinez; her husband, Victor E. Gomez; daughter, Alyssa Bonnie Gomez (Joseph); her sons, Adam Logan Gomez (Aileen), Sonny Alexandro Gomez (Tiffani), and Diego Nicolas Gomez; her siblings, Ericka Martinez, her twin brother, Jimmy Martinez, Christobal Martinez, Fernando Martinez (Erica), Hilberto "Gilbert" Martinez, and Rolando Martinez (Cristina); as well as 10 grandchildren and many other loving family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Alberto and Pauline Gomez; her aunt, Sylvia Gomez; her uncles, Joe, Henry, Gilbert, and Ernest Gomez; her parental grandparents, Domingo and Mikaela Martinez; her aunt, Dominga Martinez; her uncle, Robert Martinez; and her cousins, Robert Jr. (Wedo), Robert Gonzalez, and J Ruiz.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Friday, July 18, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM, followed by a rosary at 12:30 PM, and a Funeral Service at 1:00 PM, at Grace Funeral Home, located at 2401 Houston Hwy, Victoria, Texas. Burial will take place at Wood Hi Cemetery.
