FORT LAWN, SC ~ Mrs. Jennifer P. Hartley, age 55, a faithful servant of the Lord, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus early morning on Monday, August 4, 2025. She has received that welcome from Christ that we all long to hear: "Well done, good and faithful servant; enter into the joy of your Lord." She was born December 1, 1969, in Rock Hill, SC, the daughter of Ann Chaney Moore and the late Joseph Thomas "Tom" Moore, Jr. and was the loving wife of Bo Hartley. Jennifer brought immeasurable joy and light to all whom she encountered with her kind and giving heart, her radiant smile, and her generous curiosity. She had an immense love for everyone, especially her family and friends. She was looking forward to becoming "GiGi" to little "Grayman" who will be here in a few short weeks. Jennifer touched the lives of everyone who had the honor of knowing her. Her selflessness, warmth, and generous spirit will always be remembered. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and compassion that will live on through all of us. Jennifer was a faithful member of Covenant Baptist Church. As she stood grounded in her faith, even in the midst of her health challenges, Jennifer shared her love for the Lord in so many ways. Prayers were ever on her lips and in her heart for everyone and would often join hands with friends and strangers in prayer.

Jennifer is survived by her husband of 16 years, Bo Hartley; her four children, Jessica A. Powers, Garrett Hartley, Karah Hartley Ward (Zach), and Maloree Alanna Wheeler; her grandson, Grayson T. Ward; her mother, Ann Moore; her brother, Joe Moore; her sister-in-law, Melissa Rushing (Clark); her brother-in-law, BJ Hartley (Alison); many special nieces and nephews; and numerous special family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Paul "Hoppy" Powers; her father, Tom Moore; her father-in-law, Bobby G. Hartley; and her brother-in-law, Jody Hartley.

A Service to Celebrate Jennifer's beautiful life will be at 3:00 pm Thursday, August 7, 2025, at Covenant Baptist Church officiated by her husband, Bo Hartley, Pastor Bobby Strother, Brother Ted Hodges, and Pastor Riley Kinard. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at Burgess Funeral Home and at all other times at the home of Bo and Jennifer.

In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to Covenant Baptist Church, Youth Fund, 165 Craig Manor Rd, Lancaster, SC 29720.
