In Loving Memory of our Son, Jeremy
Jeremy (JEHR-eh-mee): “God will uplift”
It is with broken hearts, yet with deep comfort in God's presence, that we share the passing of our son, who was embraced in the arms of Jesus shortly before his birth on May 21, 2025.
He was deeply loved, wholly wanted, and carried joyfully close to his mama’s heart every single day of his life. There is comfort in knowing that this was all Jeremy ever knew. When he was born and we were finally able to hold him, a quiet, tangible peace seemed to radiate from him… one we are forever grateful to have felt, even for just a little while.
Months ago, during a moment of worship, the Lord gave me the baby’s name along with a word over him: Jeremy, joyful in glory. This phrase was spoken over him, meditated on, and repeated daily. For this reason, although we never had the chance to see his smile or hear his laugh, the joy he embodies is forever etched in our hearts. We invite you to view him in this same light, as he truly lives joyfully in the glory of God.
Our arms ache for him now, but we cling to the promise that one day we will be reunited, not only with our precious son, but with our Savior who holds him now. This hope brings a peace that surpasses understanding and makes heaven feel closer than ever.
“So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy - John 16:22 (NIV)
With all our love, Jeremy’s Mama & Daddy - Mari & Matt Giovanni
