GREENFIELD - Jerleen (Nolan) Griffith, age 81, of Greenfield, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 1, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Pine Mountain, Kentucky on February 1, 1944 to Marlow Nolan and Polly (Couch) Hensley. She graduated from Redbird Settlement School in Beverly, Kentucky in 1962. She married John J. Griffith on October 10, 1964. She worked for Western Electric in assembly production for 20 years. Mrs. Griffith was a member of Ingalls Church of God. She loved listening to Gospel music. She also enjoyed quilting, crocheting, collecting Precious Moments, and trying new recipes. Her love of cooking led to publishing a beloved family cookbook. She is survived by her husband, John J. Griffith of Greenfield; son, David (Ellen) Griffith; siblings, Phyllis Goodin, Matt Hensley, Ruby Gross, and Larry (Lydia) Nolan; and brother-in-law, James Ray; many nieces and nephews, including special nieces and caregivers, Karen Brown and Sharon VonGunten. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Harold "Gene" Howard and Freddie Nolan; and twin sister, Alleen Ray. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Jeff Hensley will be officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
