Caribou- Jerry J. Johndro, 72, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Market Square Health Center in South Paris, Maine. Jerry was born May 18, 1953, in Caribou, the son of Oreid and C. Marie (Hanson) Johndro.
Jerry grew up in Limestone, Maine and attended the Limestone schools. Jerry was a well-known character in the Limestone and Caribou area. He did auto cleaning in his garage on the Access Hwy for years, he also sold used cars and snowmobiles for several years and was known by all the gun, auto, and snowmobile dealers in the area.
Jerry is survived by his brother, David Johndro of Manchester, NH, his sister, Deloris Haney, of Caribou, two daughters, Maranda and Tammy, as well as his grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jerry also leaves behind his beloved dog, Lucky, who was a great companion, he brought so much joy to Jerry and was always with Jerry everywhere he went.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was predeceased by his sister Jacqueline, long-time companion, Diane Schorr, and his brother-in-law, Dana Haney.
A special thank you to Dr. Djuanda, Michelle Williams, and all the staff at Cary Medical Center, which was Jerry's home for nearly two years, Market Square Health Center of South Paris, Maine where Jerry had a short stay, Danielle Barrows for being supportive and keeping Jerry's best interest at heart, and Dave Moreau for being such a good friend to Jerry and visiting every week, giving him lots of support, and taking Lucky in. All is very much appreciated.
There will be no services, a private gathering to honor Jerry will take place later in August. Arrangements in care of Lancaster Morgan Funeral Home Clover Street, Caribou, Maine 04736.
