Jerry Perdew Obituary

He was born on September 9, 1941 to the late George and Priscilla Workman Perdew in St. Albans, WV. In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his brothers: George and Rick Perdew.
After graduation Jerry joined the US Army and began his career working for Union Carbide as a Craft Supervisor where he later retired. He was a member of Putnam Lodge #139 A.F. & A.M. Hurricane and Teays Valley Church of God. Jerry Loved the Lord and spending time with his family. He was a great loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife of almost 64 years (on July 13, 2025), Amalee Joan Perdew; children: Carla Baldwin (Bobby Wayne) of Scott Depot, WV and Mike Perdew (Kathie Jo) of Hurricane, WV; 4 grandchildren: Courtney Holmes, Nicole Clendenin, Jacob and Katie Perdew; 9 great-grandchildren; and siblings: Judy Rollins, Kathy Fisher (Tom), Mitzi Burgess, Greg Perdew (Mary) and Mark Perdew.
Funeral Service for Jerry will be 11:00 am Tuesday July 15, 2025 at Chapman Funeral Home Hurricane, WV with Rev. Dr. Melissa Pratt and Pastor David Bowen officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park St. Albans, WV.
Friends may visit with family one hour prior to the service.
