Rev. Jess M. Bline, 68, of Bicknell, IN, passed away March 9, 2025 at the Good Samaritan Hospital. Jess was born November 9, 1956 in Seymour, IN He was a graduate of Victory Christian School. He answered the call to become a pastor and began his ministry in Bicknell, IN at the Church of God, Jess pastored in Brinkley, Arkansas for 20 years. Jess and his family traveled for 15 years evangelizing in several states. His deep belief in the power of Jesus Christ led him on many missions in life. He held membership in the Abundant Grace House of Prayer in Sullivan, IN. He lived his faith by his actions for the salvation of others. Jess enjoyed hunting trips with his boys and fishing.
Jess is survived by his sons, Jerry Bline of Brinkley, AR, Steve (Heather) Bline of Russellville, AR a granddaughter, Layne Bline, his sisters, Louise (Fred) Harrison of Terre Haute, IN, Ellen Clyatt of Vero Beach, FL, Melissa Barrett of Knoxville, TN, Tiffany Barrett of Rocky Top, TN and a brother, Brian Barrett of Vero Beach, FL., and his father, Albert Barrett.
Jess was greeted in heaven by his son, Jess Granville Bline, his 1st wife Caroline O'Dell Bline, and his parents, Jerry and Alice Johnson Bline and a brother, Albert Lee Barrett.
Funeral services will be celebrated on Saturday March 15, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Bicknell First Baptist Church with Rev. Charlie Fowler officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until the time of services at 3:00 PM. Memorial contributions can be made to Abundant Grace House of Prayer Youth Ministry or Bicknell 1st Baptist Church. Rev. Jess will be laid to rest in Brinkley, AR next to his son. Duesterberg-Fredrick Wampler Shaw is honored to assist the Bline family during their time of loss.
