Jesse "Dale" Laughlin of Rogers, Arkansas, age 73, passed away on Tuesday, July 8th, 2025 surrounded by family. He was born on April 30th, 1952 in Bentonville, Arkansas to Jesse and Mary Laughlin (Dunyun).
Dale grew up in Northwest Arkansas and graduated from Pea Ridge High School. He was a diesel mechanic from a young age. He enjoyed farming and raising cattle, working on vehicles, and watching westerns. He spent his Saturdays calling and talking to his grandchildren. It was the highlight of his week. One of his favorite memories was having a picnic at the Pea Ridge park with his grandkids. He was a reliable friend and neighbor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Mary; one son, Henry Griffith; one granddaughter, Robin Cawthon; two brothers, Virgil and Everett Laughlin; and one sister, Rebecca Lynch.
Dale is survived by his wife of almost 49 years, Ona Daphne Laughlin; six children, Phyllis Moore of Bentonville, Leona Garner (Terry) of Rogers, Glenda Turner (Terry) of Rogers, Joe Griffith of Pea Ridge, Aaron Griffith of Pea Ridge, and Justin Griffith (Karen) of Pea Ridge,; one sister, Margie Herron of Tulsa, Oklahoma; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and three nieces, Reba Goff, Sue Fancher and Alaina Herron-Sullivan.
A Visitation will be held at First Baptist Church in Garfield, Arkansas at 1:00p.m. Friday, July 11th, 2025 followed by a Celebration of Life service at 2:00p.m., Brother Larry Robins officiating. He will be laid to rest at Ruddick Cemetery following the service. Pall Bearers are Kenneth Ingram, Billy Ingram, Adam Cawthon, Brian Griffith, Kyle Castor, and Dustin Hoffman. Honorary Pall Bearers are Ricky and Leon Laughlin, and Mark McAllister.
