Jessica Kelsey Anderson, 35, of Decatur, Arkansas, passed away on July 13, 2025. Born on December 28, 1989, Jessica lived a life full of love, laughter, and deep faith.
Jessica's joy was rooted in her relationship with Jesus and her love for her family and her church family at DAG church. She was a devoted daughter, sister, granddaughter, aunt, niece, cousin and friend.
Whether she was worshipping in church, watching services online, or listening to KLRC in the car, Jessica found peace and purpose in her faith.
Jessica was known for her big heart and even bigger personality. She loved texting with her friends and family, and she made sure her grandparents always had someone checking in-often calling them multiple times a day just to say hello or share about her day.
Jessica loved traveling, the beach, and going on cruises. Her favorite part of the cruise was the countdown before the cruise and she would tell everyone everyday how many days until her next cruise.
Her favorite week of the year was spent at Camp 4:13, a camp for people with special needs. Jessica was the inspiration for the camp that her parents started in 2000. At camp she enjoyed singing in the choir, singing at the Talent Show and visiting with her many friends.
Jessica was also a fan of the Food Network and a proud member (and repeat resident) of "Facebook jail"-thanks to her enthusiastic habit of sending too many friend requests in her mission to connect with the world. Jessica saw strangers as potential friends, and her online presence reflected the same warmth and openness she shared in real life.
Jessica is preceded in death by her beloved uncle, Tony Anderson. She is survived by her loving parents, Kirk and Pam Anderson of the home; her sister, Megan Boyd and husband Blake; her brother, Matthew Anderson; her sister, Emma Anderson and fiancé Garrison Jackson; her cherished nephew, Brayson Boyd; and her grandparents, Bill & Sharon Anderson and Gene & Margaret Bishop, her Uncle Steve Bishop and wife Daunelle, her Aunt Becky Phillips and husband Floyd, her Aunt Kim Anderson-Goldsmith, many cousins and countless friends.
Jessica leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love, unshakable faith, and an unforgettable spirit that brought light to every life she touched. Though she is no longer with us, the joy she shared lives on in those who knew and loved her.
A celebration of Jessica's life will be held at DAG Church, in Decatur, AR on Saturday, July 19th at 11:00 am, with Pastor Kyle Coslett officiating. Visitation will be at Wasson Funeral Home on Friday, July 18th, from 5-7 pm. Burial will be at the Falling Springs cemetery, before the celebration service at 10:00 am, on Saturday, July 19th. Pallbearers will be Austin Hazelton, Peyton Anderson, Jonathan Bishop, and Will Anderson. Honorary pallbearers are Matthew Anderson, Blake Boyd, and Garrison Jackson.
