Jim Cole Obituary
Jim Cole, age 84, of Forest City, passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at his home.
Jim was born Saturday, October 19, 1940 in Rutherford County to the late James Kenneth Cole, Sr. and Mallie Sue Owens Cole. He was a graduate of Harris High School and a member of the North Carolina National Guard. Jim owned and operated Jim Cole and Sons Wrecker Service and Hardware for over fifty-nine years. He enjoyed vegetable gardening and above all spending time with his family. Jim was a member of Sulphur Springs Congregational Holiness Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of twenty-five years, Joyce Wilhide Cole.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Kenny Cole, Stephanie Higgins (John) all of Forest City, Michael Cole (Dee) of Boiling Springs, SC; Jennifer Glover, Parris Bristol and Raven Cole (Binka Watkins) all of Forest City; sister, Judy Sims (Ernest); brothers, David Cole (Linda) and Steven Cole all of Forest City; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
The funeral service will be private for the family. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Friday at the funeral home.
