Jimmy Owens Obituary

Jimmy Owens, 66, of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, June 9, 2025, at his home. He was born on Wednesday, February 4, 1959, to Simon and Mable Wimbley Owens in Eagletown, Oklahoma.
Jimmy was a true rolling stone with a heart full of love and generosity. He never met a stranger and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He loved his family dearly and cherished every chance to gather around the grill for a good old-fashioned barbecue. Some of his happiest moments were spent fishing down at the river, laughing over a game of dominoes, or dancing to music-any kind, as long as it made his heart move. Jimmy brought joy, warmth, and a free spirit wherever he went, and his memory will live on in the stories, laughter, and love of those who knew him best.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Clyde Owens, Earnest Owens and Tommy Owens; five sisters, Parthenia Dillahunty, Etta Mae Mathenia, Shirley Owens, Martha Mae Owens and Elesta Faye Owens.
Jimmy is survived by his two daughters, Hazel Marshall of Memphis, Tennessee and Kendra Marshall of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; two sisters, Mildred Cherry of Broken Bow, Oklahoma and Barbara Owens of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Kahron Marshall, LaDairyous Williamson, Shakya Marshall and Jazarah Yelloweagle; one great granddaughter, Kazelynn Marshall; 2 dear friends, Sam Johnson of Broken Bow, Oklahoma and Betty Dickerson of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; several nieces, nephews and cousins as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be held Monday, June 16, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at the Busy Bee Cemetery in Eagletown, Oklahoma with Pastor Jimmy Williams. Visitation will be general. Services are entrusted to Bowser Family Funeral Home in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers will be Nikeem Cherry, D'Andre Owens, Hickman Burris Jr. and Kahron Marshall.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Hickman Burris, Patrick Mitchell, Michael Cantley, Patrick Britt, Taylor Scott, and Brian Hamilton.
Flower Bearers will be Hazel Marshall, Kendra Marshall, Taleshia Cherry, Daneshia Cherry, and Alana Owens.
