Joan Tyson Obituary

Joan F. Tyson, aged 93, passed away peacefully at home on July 15th 2025. She was born September 16, 1931 in Akron Ohio to the late Harry and Beulah Wagner. She was a 1949 graduate of East High, and married Bill Tyson, the love of her life in 1950. They were happily married for 68 years until his passing in 2019. Joan enjoyed many years of making memories with family and friends at her cottage on Manitoulin Island. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Cathy Long; brothers Harry, Howard, Bob, Lorin, and Gerald, and sister Marilyn Stevenson. She is survived by daughters Connie (Jimmie) Thomas, Carol (Chuck) Anderson, and Carla (Jim) Fincham, in addition to 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great-great.
