JoAnn Anderson Obituary

Joann Anderson was born September 16, 1949, in Corsicana, Texas. JoAnn peacefully passed away on May 16, 2025, at the age of 76, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was a woman filled with love and compassion, embodying a living faith that inspired many to live according to God's will.
Joann was the devoted wife of Alvin Anderson for 37 beautiful years, and the proud and loving mother of four children: Lisa Shirley, David Gomez, Eric Gomez, and Jessica Ferguson. She was a cherished grandmother to Charles Shirley Jr., Alicia Andrews, Daniel Pownall Jr., Valarie Pownall, and Jonathan Ferguson. JoAnn was blessed with ten beloved great-grandchildren: Katie Shirley, Abby Shirley, Gage Andrews, Gavin Andrews, Grayson Andrews, Daniel Pownall III, Jessica Pownall, Mackenzie Perry, Jaydin Perry, and Mackaylin Perry.
She is also survived by a large and loving extended family of nieces, nephews, and cousins who will miss her deeply.

Family, friends, and all those whose lives Joann touched are warmly invited to a visitation at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home, 1530 North 45th St., Corsicana, Texas 75110, on May 22, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, to share memories, offer support, and honor Joann's life.
A graveside service will follow at Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery at 12:30 PM on the same day.
