EULESS - Joe Frank Rhodes III, longtime resident of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2025.
Joe was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on December 22, 1940. He graduated from Fort Worth's Polytechnic High School in 1959. While attending Texas Christian University, he received his Bachelor of Science in Commerce degree as well as a Master of Business Administration. He was also a member of Beta Gamma Sigma fraternity. Joe's career was in the oil and gas business and later in life, he spent several years selling real estate.
Joe was an avid collector of coins. He found joy in fishing as well as playing tennis and was always ready with an update on sports and weather as well as the current prices on gas and groceries across the metroplex. Joe was a follower of Jesus Christ. He was a member of First Baptist Church Dallas and of The Presidents' Sunday School Class. He was also very proud to be one of the Pastors Prayer Partners.
Joe is survived by his beloved wife of 20 years, Dee Ann Rhodes; and daughters, Raeann Scott (Jeff) and Raequel Rhodes.
A burial service will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Greenwood Memorial Park in Fort Worth. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church Dallas - Lovvorn Hall, with a visitation an hour prior beginning at 10:00 a.m. Family and friends are invited to gather for a light lunch and fellowship immediately following the service.
