John Ebert Obituary

John Benedict Ebert was born, May 17th 1952, in Helena, MT. As an infant he was adopted by Alfred and Rosemary Ebert. He was a precious and treasured member of the family. Being the only grandchild of Dick and Mary Gotz and the only nephew of his Uncle Bob, who never married, he was very loved and doted on.
John received most of his education at Sacred Heart Elementary School in Miles City. He also attended the University of Wyoming in Laramie for a short time.
As an adult John lived in Billings, Montana before moving back to Miles City, MT, to be close to his mom. In Miles City he worked at the Trails Inn and Walmart. John's true passion was carpentry and construction. He loved the idea of creating and building things.
John was a kind man with a giving heart. He was known to many as the "Candy Man". He always had good candy to share with anyone he came across. He was also a social person who enjoyed a competitive game of pool. However, he was housebound in his later years, which was very hard on him.
John is survived by some loving friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Rosemary Ebert, his grandparents Dick and Mary Gotz, and his Uncle Bob.
John has been a familiar face around Miles City, where he will be laid to rest.
