John C. Foy, 77, of Altoona, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Friday evening, March 21, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on January 7, 1948, in Ligonier, PA, son of the late William and Emma (Stuller) Foy. Surviving is his wife, Dona J. (Lardieri) Foy; two daughters, Catherine King (Ted) and Carol Siford; two sons, Edward Wolfe Jr. and James Wolfe; three grandsons, Bryan King, Brandon Wolfe (Christina), and Jacob Siford; four great-grandchildren, Madison, Arianna, Carter and Jake. Also surviving are his two cats, Beth and Molly; and his dog, Chole. John enjoyed making canes, playing card games, and sitting around campfires. He was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam war. Member of the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter #967 and the VFW Post 3. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter #967, 222 Bedford St., Hollidaysburg, PA 16648.
