John S. Kubarych, 60, of Norwalk, died unexpectedly on August 14, 2025 at Cassena Care in Stamford.
Born in Derby, CT, he was the son of Ida (Cocchia) Kubarych and the late John Stephen Kubarych, and had worked as a carpenter and mechanic for more than 40 years.
He enjoyed the mountains and being out in nature, listening to rock and roll, and spending time with family and friends.
John is survived by his mother, Ida, his brother, Jeffrey, and his sister-in-law, Georgia Kubarych.
His family wishes to thank John's friends and family for the outpouring of love and support. It means so much to them during this challenging time.
John was larger than life. He was kind and funny, and he made lasting impressions on so many people. He was a loving son, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed.
His family will receive friends on Thursday, August 21, from 4-7 PM, with a prayer service to begin at 6:30PM, at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk, CT. Other services will be held privately by his family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The National Park Foundation
